Jimmy Sites
Dr. Jimmy Sites – Producer & Host – is the Outdoor Legends Hall of Fame 2014 American Sportsman of the Year, and is being inducted into the Hall of Fame in August 2018. His adventures across the world have aired for 17 seasons on national and international television, including Russia, Ukraine, and Ecuador and now an additional 50 countries. Jimmy also writes about these adventures in his books. As an avid outdoorsman and trained theologian, Jimmy mixes the Call of the Wild with the Call of the Lord, and gives away free “Heart of the Outdoor” Bibles to viewers. He is sponsored by and serves as a national spokesperson for several top companies and non-profits, and is in his 30th year as an advocate for Compassion International. Over 2,400 disadvantaged children in Third World countries have been sponsored at Jimmy’s speaking engagements. Jimmy and his team lead a Producer’s Camp each summer to help television producers learn the art of creating outdoor television and marketing their show. Jimmy is also a cartoon character along with Hunter Ed and Buddy Buck in “Kids Korner with Jimmy Sites” – a unique series of 45-second cartoons that teach outdoor-related safety to children ages 4-12. The couple has two biological children, Christin & Jonathan, who have grown up on the show. They also helped raise an additional child named Mary who is now married. Their home base is Nashville, Tennessee where Jimmy is also a songwriter and producer.
