Not since “Bone Collector” has a hunting show made people smile and laugh as they do while watching “This Is Africa.” It is a fun show to watch.

The dynamic team of brother and sister, Andrew and Michelle Buchanan, have a lifetime worth of experience in African hunting. With a passion for wildlife and a fun loving dynamic, born of a lifetime spent hunting and fishing together on the African Continent. Watch how Michelle, Andy and their award winning post-productions team tell the stories of their friends hunting and fishing across the Dark Continent, revealing the mysteries and secrets of Africa’s wildlife. Yesteryear’s shows will be replaced by knowledge of local people, cultures and animals (big and small), in today’s challenging and quirky Africa.

Poaching, anti-poaching, community development and how these are directly affected by and affiliated with hunting is an intricate part of this show. In a world filled with misinformation “This is Africa” portrays the unbiased truth about conservation through hunting. Watch how we dismantle a poacher’s camp, get a truck unstuck and being surprised by a herd of elephants popping up in a surprising spot.

This is Africa is different. Michelle and Andy treat viewers to a refreshing style with their young and energetic hosting.  Leaving behind the old formulaic, one dimensional hunting show and introducing the next generation natural history series. Taking you straight into the African bush, with how-to, interviews and tips.

Experience the African Continent like NEVER before.

Michelle grew up on in a farming area, the only daughter of a prominent Zimbabwean Tobacco Farmer and Professional Hunter with her 3 brothers. Hunting was a part of life from a very young age and it was during these trips to all parts of wild Zimbabwe that the spirit of adventure and the passion for the outdoors was engraved in the young lady.

Michelle’s tenacious manor and outgoing personality coupled with her attention to detail and her strive to “be the best” earned her a formidable reputation during her time spent in London where she worked in sales and marketing for a large blue chip corporate organization…

After 8 years abroad – AFRICA was calling.

Michelle returned to her native Zimbabwe and to her passion: ~The African Bush~

Africa could not be any more ingrained into a person as it is Andrew.

Andrews vast amount of knowledge on the wildlife habits and habitats, as well as his deep understanding of the local people and their different cultures, has seen him across the vast majority of Africa.

Andrew has been filming and producing amazing hunting DVD’s and documentaries over the last decade and has a wealth of experience borne from these many adventures.

He assists his numerous clients not only with documenting their adventures but often guiding, tracking, translating and even assisting on the follow up of wounded Dangerous Game.

Over the last 12 years Andrew has hunted with some of the best-known and well respected Safari Operators/Professional Hunters in the business across the entire African continent

Andrew’s honesty, reliability and exceptional people skills, coupled with his knowledge of all things “hunting” has made his opinion on areas/success rates and trophy quality extremely valuable to his expansive network of clients and friends…
